An Open call against Coron's Bikini Bottom

Can you hear it? The snoozy sound of sea waves as it gently drenching on to the sand, soothing isn't it? The scenery that will made you feel drowsy, the green views of mountains and its reflection with  blue tinted skies showed down the silent waters.  The nostalgic scent and cool breeze of the wind  touching your cheek chills off your stress and will surely give you comfort. The scenery is already perfect, the plants, the animal, each suits each other and formed a wonderful biodiversity. You're not dreaming, that really scenery exist, but sooner   or later, a nightmare will succumb such place , as the modern generation come to  take over everything,naturally.

The jaw-dropping beauty of nature may be spotted everywhere, but the unique beauty of Coron, Palawan is a far too different thing. The sea, the mountain, the air were all so refreshing that not only Filipino locals got to fell in love with this, it also captured tourist's heart and attention. Truly this place is perfect, made you feel like you're dreaming. But a nightmare had waken you up. That place was requested by Nickelodeon to be a theme park, a Bikini Bottom as they call it. The idea is amazing actually, it can gather up many tourist, but the way it will affect the biodiversity will never be a good thing.

'Undersea theme park'
You felt excited as you're hearing such word as this. You could experience to see marine animals in their home. But as you imagine more of the Undersea theme park, you now felt that you're being against of it. The fact that the biodiversity will be damage, poor marine animals! Can you take the destruction on their home? Loss of habitat, so unbearable for the Philippines' endangered species. It's the precious treasure that Philippine kept for a long time, the extinction of those species, the Philippines will never let that happened.

The corals, small fishes only habit, will be ruin in exchange of money that will be earned from that tourist attraction. Who'll let something like this happen? Gladly, Gina Lopez, secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) expressed it's disapproval stating that the Coron is naturally beautiful itself, but if the infrastructure will ruin the biodiversity, right away, she'll say no.

Coron, Palawan nature's beauty doesn't need any artificial attraction. It can make everyone fall in love with its natural beauty. "Coron is not Bikini Bottom." And it's not about how many people can it attract or the people who can make it more attractive, but people who can maintain its beauty and stability of the biodiversity it carries.
