Pain feels
Do you know what it feels like...
...to have someone who totally gets you?
...to have someone who you can be yourself around?
...to have someone who you care for like you've never care for someone before?
...to have someone who you feel like you would do literally anything for?
...to have someone who makes you question if it is love because you have never felt like this about someone before?
...to have to question whether he cared about you the same?
...to have watch his interest in you slowly decline?
...to have to try your luck if he will text you back after you told him what had happened the other day?
...to have to accept that he just do not care for you as much?
...to have make the decision to stay hollow because you do not have the courage to start a new dialogue?
...to have to pretend that you are "OK" with it being one-sided but deep down you are not?
...to understand way too well Alaska's "You need to understand Pudge, that I am deeply unhappy person" quote from John Green's book?
... to know that he do not think about you in his busy hours like you damn do as you try to shove the feelings deeper and deeper down?
...to just convince yourself to stop wanting him because his feelings were not meant to reciprocate?
...to try and make yourself not to love him, even hate him just for the pain to go away?
...to just want to tell him that you miss talking to him but you just avoid doing the thing because it is easier not to?
...to hope with all your heart that there can be someone else who you could feel the same for and he would love you back?
That feeling was pain.
Perhaps, we cannot be more sensitive to pleasure without being more sensitive to pain.In that sense,we need to deal with pain because as the TFIOS book quoted--Pain demands to be felt.
Sure enough, love is pain and as Alfred of the Lord Tennyson said 'Tis better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all.
To my comrades, We WILL be alright, just not tonight!
